March 03, 2001 "Sovetskaya Belorussiya" (The Soviet Byelorussia) Newspaper, #64 Belovezhskaya Pushcha in Japan

Documentary about Belovezhskaya Pushcha will be shown in Japan in the near future. Few days ago the film set of television company «TBS vision Inc.» headed by director of project Takahido Timioko visited the National park of the Republic. Mighty bisons, giant trees, primeval forest and general panorama of the natural reserve from 40-metres high will be shown in the picture.
March 13, 2001 «Byelorusskaya Delovaya Gazeta» (The Byelorussian business newspaper) Newspaper, #933 Excursion of Luzhkov's family along historical places

On the 10th March after staying in the Belovezhskaya Pushcha for 3 days the Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov with his family returned to Moscow. Information agencies named this sally of Moscow city manager for picnic «three-days unofficial visit to Brest land».

Having received an information from «BelaPAN News Company», on the 8th March Yuri Luzhkov with his wife Elena Baturina and children Elena and Olga arrived to Brest by train. They made their way straight for the residence «Viskuly» which is in the Belovezhskaya Pushcha where they celebrated the Elena Baturina's birthday. The excursion along the dense forest and Museum of nature was organized for Yuri Luzhkov and his wife. Primeval forest, giant trees and bisons were shown to them. Mr. Luzhkov went to one of artificial lakes in forest for fishing. And on 10th March the Mayor's family visited Eternal fire in the Memorial Complex «Brest fortress-hero», museum and Saint-Nicolas garrison cathedral.

However malicious talk maintains that Mr. Luzhkov urgently needed to meet with Belarusian officials. And the reason being that he also decided to take part in a privatization of Belarusian enterprises. In exchange Moscow team offers the support to Alexander Lukashenko at the president election. For the present nothing definite about the plans of Moscow Mayor's team is known, but they concern on area of telecommunication and communications.
