How Belovezhskaya Pushcha is "reconstructed" (Photo)

This year the Council of Europe has temporarily suspended a European Diploma for Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
The Diploma is a prestigious award for national parks and reserves which serves to confirm merits in the field of nature conservation. The National Park "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" has gained it in 1997 for the previous successes in conservation of the untouched nature of the Belovezhskaya Pushcha relic forest.
The condition for prolongation of the Diploma was to develop the National Park's management plan for the nearest 10 years and to present it for the CE Committee on Conservation of Biological and Landscape Diversity. Early this year the plan at last was developed and was ratified.
The publicist and activist for the ecological movement Valeriy Dranchuk has told to the newspaper "Nasha Niva" about how reconstruction of the reserve is going.
"Belovezhskaya Pushcha "gets dressed" in stone bricks and it is doing it very active. All that can be covered becomes covered. The catering is for the situation when the people will come here not to go on soft small paths and to listen to silence but to visit a restaurant and to hunt, the publicist has declared. - The law on national parks focuses, first of all, on didactics, conservation and educational activity. All things what I saw in Belovezhskaya Pushcha testify that there will be a diamond library of number two there".
In Belovezhskaya Pushcha the zoo enclosures till now fence the untouched nature from the visitors. The enclosures are now under renovation, ferro-concrete posts are dug in the ground.
"Enclosures is already not a way of development of the reserves in Europe, Valeriy Dranchuk makes comments. The untouched nature should be free. The managers do not refuse enclosures in Belovezhskaya Pushcha. This is absurdity, not the example of the content".
