October 29, 2005 Press-centre of the "Nature Protection Service" Team Tatarstan children are engaged in protection of Belovezhskaya Pushcha

A morning performance devoted to significance of woods and problems of the Reserve "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" was held in the kindergarten No 263 on October 25. The children and the teachers were told about the problem previously and the children have decided to help a forest by making handcraft articles and drawings. Thus, they've organized colourful performance, where children and even parents have presented a fairy tale about "Fantastic Wood".

The main rule on the drawings and hand-made articles' competition was to protect "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" and it was distributed in educational institutions of the city of Kazan. Five schools and some kindergartens have taken part in the action. Near five hundred production units have been exhibited in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan (RT). The exhibition comprised of posters, drawings and compositions made from plasticine, cardboard and natural materials. The children imagination is boundless. We hope that the officials of the Ministry will be interested in this problem that was expressed through the children's creativity. The exhibition will be lasted till November 1, and then we plan to move it to the National Museum of RT to be accessible for the general public.
